Got a bunch of tabs open in Firefox, so thought i'd share some randomness before i close them :)
Tomorrow evening is the big non-event.
As part of their publicity campaign warming up to their miniseries remake of The Prisoner, AMC has put all the episodes of the original series up online.
I can't for the life of me remember why i was looking this up... But it seems hard to imagine that The Final Countdown is over 20 years old! I mean, yes, when i think about it, i suppose it is, but... just makes me feel old :)
I've been playing with Latitude for a while now... Seems useful. I'm mystified by the articles that came out shortly after it was released, all of them essentially saying "What about the privacy? It's EVOL!" I don't think there's a privacy issue at all... I have to individually select who gets to see where i am, then manually enable each of them to actually see me. I can turn each person off at any time, or send them a fake location, or even turn my phone's beacon off altogether. The only problem i've had with it is if i leave Gmaps running (so i can see myself :) it drains the battery faster than usual, as the map is now constantly updating (even when Gmaps is running in the background) instead of the previous behaviour of displaying a static image. Oh, and i don't know anyone else running it on their phone to watch them moving around :)
Got a new card game (Chez Geek) last week... I didn't realise it at the time, but it's made by Steve Jackson games, so it came with a Munchkin coin. Anyone play Munchkins who could use it?
Ok, i'm going to tidy up my desk and get ready for a 4-day weekend :)
And maybe we'll come back, / To earth, who can tell?
