About time i posted...

iestynapmwgRight, then... I haven't posted in quite a while, it seems. Hell, i haven't really responded much on other people's posts. The main reason why: I managed to knock a bottle over onto my laptop New Year's Eve, and although the puter survived, the keyboard soon stopped working.
It wasn't a huge disaster, as it sits in a docking station at work with another keyboard attached. I usually read LJ from home, though, but i could at least read posts using just mouse/button navigation. I'm so glad for Firefox's tabs, too, because i could preload all sites i might want to look at before leaving work, and use the session manager to pull them all up later at home. That, and creative use of browser history, copy-and-paste and auto-completion let me do almost everything except reply to mail and post here.
Anyway... laptop keyboard was replaced after a few weeks of dealing with the IT dept. at work. I had to wait for work orders to be filled, the part to be ordered and then someone to come and install it, because, well, obviously someone who isn't in the IT dept. couldn't have the l33t sk177z needed to remove two screws and drop in a replacement.
But i guess i got out of the habit of posting here, so here goes :)

luvcherbear hasn't caught it. She's been taking care of my cranky self, for which i'm very grateful. They closed the office because of the snow on Wednesday, then i called in sick on Thursday. I went in on Friday, but that was probably a mistake. I'm kinda glad it's a three-day weekend to recover (and i've never had off for president's day before).

A bit limited, though, as it doesn't know half the artists i put in as suggestions.
Other news... 68 days till the wedding! We've almost finished picking out what we want to wear. Need to check which rings made it to the short list. Then vows... and some flowers. And figure out who can come check on the kitties while we're gone for the following week. And music selection. And what to feed people, even though it's going to be a pretty small gathering. And where to put people in case it's raining. And i'll stop there before i think of anything else :)
