Happy Samhain!

Well, we're done moving. I brought the last car-load over to the new place last night. Said goodbye to the place and the lake and poured a libation for the (spirits?) living in both as a thank you for the time we had there. Yeah, it's a man-made lake (pond, really) but it's been there long enough and had living things in it to have gained some other occupants, i figure. And the house has certainly been there long enough.
There's an odd sense of finality when you close a door for the last time -- for the very last time you will ever close that door. Especially after having lived there for almost 5 years...
Somewhere in a hidden memory / Images float before my eyes / Of fragrant nights of straw and of bonfires / And dancing till the next sunrise.
